Description I purchased this frame in early 2011 at Spokesman, but it was brand new. It had been built up and test ridden, but had never heen sold. I got a great deal on the frameset and built it up with parts that I had. The color scheme is from the Gerolstiener team. Picked this frame up on ebay in March 2012. It is a replica of the Saeco team frames. This one of the finest titanium frames ever made. The tubing is a combination of 6AL/4V and 3AL/2.3V titanium, many tubes are shaped. Of particular note is the huge, aero 6/4 downtube. Frame construction was done by Lightspeed. I purchased this frame used on eBay in 2005, and the Millenium 3 was only made from 2000 and 2002.

I have set this up as my winter bike because I think that Ti was a great choice for an all-weather bike.

The decals were in pretty bad shape when I bought the frame. I could not find replacement decals that matech the original, so I used decals for a Merckx Ti AX frame. I actually think I like them better than the original decals.

The frameset was built in 1992 by Tim Neenan at Lighthouse Cycles. It is a lugged frame made out of Columbus Max tubing. Some of the frames features are:

  • Heavilly shaped Columbus Max tubing - Almost all tube ends that can be, are ovalized
  • Unicrown Columbus Max fork
  • Stainless steel tube used for internal rear brake cable routing
  • Headtube Cable Guides - still uses the cable/guide adjusters on the shift bosses, but has small loops on the headtube so the cables do not mark the tube
  • Stem and Fork are drilled for internal computer cable routing - kind of a pain to set up (you have to cut the cable and route it through some small spaces and holes), but if you take the time it looks cool
  • Braze-on front derailleur mount
  • Pump Peg
  • Silca frame pump, with steel Campagnolo head, painted to match frame
